The 1st leg of IIFL Wealth Regional Qualifiers got off to a grand start here at Arya Samaj Mandir, Rajendra Place, New Delhi with participation of 111 players in the Boy's section and 46 in the Girls' Section to decide the champions who will qualify for the main event at Mumbai. The field includes 56 FIDE rated player's in the Open and 10 in the Girl's category with Aryan Varshaney (2026) and Navya Tayal (1376) getting the top billing in their respective categories. The tournament is 9-round affair over a period of 3-days with a time-control of 60+30/player. The tournament is conducted by Chessmine - the event partner of Indian Chess School for the Delhi leg. The chief arbiter for the event is IA Amit Sharma with FA Guru Dayal and Shivakant Mishra as the deputy arbiters.
